KING OF CARIBOU LAKE
Currently available as a full length play, and revised 1 act version. Available for world premiere! For rights, please contact creative.conspiracy.productions@gmail.com.
Caribou Lake, by Larry Larson, is a family drama that deals with PTSD and the impact of war and combat on an aging veteran and his family. Based, in part, on real characters and events, the play also incorporates humor and magical reality as Junior, the Carson family patriarch, struggles to keep iron-willed control of the family he has long dominated with his military-style discipline and “my way or the highway” mentality. With strong characters and plot lines that resonate with The Great Santini and On Golden Pond–-there is also the personal family drama found in the classics A Long Day’s Journey Into Night and Death of a Salesman. Caribou Lake is a timely and topical play dealing with issues millions of families are facing all across America.
Revised and now available for world premiere.
